Basics of Earning

As a stay at home mom, I have been on the lookout for simple ways to earn a little extra income or gift cards for our household.  Many of these ways will not make you rich and won't be enough to live on but they may help pay for your babysitter on Couple's Night Out or become spending money when you are on a trip.  It also might help alleviate some debt.

One thing to remember: NEVER pay to join any Earn at Home sites.

Here are some things that I've found:

Surveys
I have joined several survey sites and am on the lookout for more! 
A little extra cash for just a little bit of your time!

Swagbucks
I LOVE Swagbucks.  Such an easy way to earn a little extra!  I started with Swagbucks at the end of May and, as of March 16, I've earned $250 in Amazon gift cards and $15 in ITunes gift cards!  And all I have to do is search!

Reward Programs
A lot of products have great reward programs available.  If a product you buy has a reward program, take advantage of it!  You may be able to earn some great coupons and freebies just for buying a product that you already buy!

Bank Offers
This is something that I have just started to take a look at.  I have tried one bank offer, Chase, and earned $100!  Carrie, over at Money Saving Methods, is a great resource for this type of earning!

Mystery Shopping

I have not tried this yet but am hoping to add this to my list of ways to earn a little extra!  Again, Carrie is a great resource for this!

Transferring Prescriptions
This one is pretty simple.  There are a lot of stores that will give you a gift card just for transferring your prescription to their store.  Keep an eye out for these coupons in the newspaper and weekly ads.
