Rebates, Rebates, and Rebates

We have been seeing a lot of rebates lately so I thought I would give you a few pointers!

*Read the rebate form carefully! Make sure that you are getting exactly what they are asking for. Even down to the size of the product.

*Be sure to send in everything that is required. If it asks for an original register receipt, photocopies will not be accepted. Read all of the fine print.

*Don't throw anything away until you are sure that you have everything needed for the rebate. Most require the original receipt, the UPC from the product, and the rebate form.

*Put everything into an envelope separately. I have read of people taping the UPC onto the receipt and being denied. The rebate center counts how many things in the envelope and when it sees only two, you could get denied.

*MAKE A PHOTOCOPY of everything you send in. If you get denied, you have proof and can resend.

Any questions? Any other tips that I didn't include?

Current Rebates:
The Real Meal Deal
SC Johnson

Stay tuned for more rebates! I have seen some others that I will be posting on!

  1. If you are buying many things in order to get the rebate, make sure that all of the items have been rung up by the cashier. Look carefully! I skimmed my receipt and thought all 10 boxes of cereal were listed. Days later, when I went to fill out the rebate for $10 back & $70 Dell code, I realized that they only rang up 9 of the participating cereals. The 10th was for another brand of cereal that I purchased. Needless to say... I was not happy.
