I'm going to start out by saying....everyone is different. What works for me, might not work for you. So, I'm going to present a few different ways. Take what you think might work best for you, use it for a few shopping trips, and tweak it to make it yours!
My method of organization......a coupon binder. It's huge and I'm sure I look a bit funny when I pull it out at the grocery store but it works for me. I am able to fit all of my coupons in it. I keep coupons that need to be organized, a pair of scissors, a calculator, and a pen in the pencil pocket in the front. And I have all of my coupons organized by categories. Here it is....

That's what works for me....For a variety of different ways to organize your coupons and some other great tips, take a look at this great article!

Where did you purchase the plastic holders? I use baseball card holders for my coupon binder, but always have to end up folding the coupons a few times to make them fit sometimes. I like how much room you have in yours to fit the whole coupon in.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I avoided the baseball card holders. I really didn't want to have to fold them. I actually found my holders at Meijer in the picture frame/albums section. The downfall is that you it doesn't have a slot to put them in on both sides so I put a red piece of paper in there so that it separates and I can use the front and back (hope that makes sense) but its not really a big deal. I LOVE my binder!
ReplyDeleteDon't ever be embarassed to carry that binder into the store. I used to be a vendor and had to carry a big binder for each store.
ReplyDeleteNot until I switched from the file system to the binder system, did I realize all those people I saw with binders weren't vendors like me!
I'll have to work my way up to both! lol. I still use envelopes but I'm looking for a small coupon organizer.
