As I've mentioned before, I don't do a lot of online shopping. I usually book my travel plans online, buy photo gifts at Christmas, and do the occasional deal with FREE shipping. That's about it. But every time I do a deal online, I always make sure that I go through Ebates. Let me tell you why......
1) I get cash back for shopping! Seriously, what can be better than that!
2) I got $5 just for signing up!
3) They have EXCELLENT customer service. I recently didn't get my cash back from the hotel I booked last month. I emailed them and within 24 hours I received the cash back in my account! 24 hours! I had a similar situation with ShopAtHome and it took two weeks of emailing back and forth and I ended up having to call the company!
In order to get a check from Ebates, you do have to earn $5 in cash back from your own online shopping. Does that happen quickly for me? No, but I earn it after a few months and get my rebate check!
I do recommend that if you are interested in signing up for Ebates, wait to sign up when you are going to make an online purchase. Write yourself a sticky note on your computer so that you don't forget. It's very helpful to have a reminder, especially at first. I know I've placed an order without going through Ebates - ugh!
What cash back program do you use most often?I do use ShopAtHome from time to time, when their cash back is significantly higher. But I tend to stick to Ebates!
I hate it when I forget to use ebates when I purchase online! Shop at home does usually offer more % of the purchases I make, but similarly to you, I had to email both shopathome and ebates before, and w/ ebates problem solved-got my money. Shopathome never got my money. I gave up. Oh well ebates it is!
