What Do You Buy at Aldi?

Aldi is one of my favorite places for produce!  Great prices and I've been happy with the quality of the produce.  There are some other great deals to be had as well but I really haven't taken the time to look around.  In most cases, I'm able to get a better deal with sales and coupons at Meijer but I know there are some prices that are better at Aldi.  So, what do you buy at Aldi?

In hopes of finding cheap milk, I ran into Hardings yesterday on my way to Aldi.  And I found some - $1.50/gallon!  The rest of the items in the picture are from Aldi.  Since my husband paid, I'm not really sure how much it came to but here's a price breakdown:

Tortilla Chips: $.99 - Awesome price!! And the sign said this is the new low price!!

Vacation is Over.....Grab Some Milk!

I haven't officially made it to the store yet this week (although we are in desperate need of a few things).   On Monday morning, I ran to Aldi's and Hardings to grab a few things for this month's meal swap meal (which my husband made - amazing) and some staples.


Total OOP: $12.31
I was hoping to get everything at Aldi and make this my first stop but no sausage and I needed some sausage.  Happy to see some great prices on produce - $1.69 for 4 pears, $.44/lb for bananas, and $1.78 for 2lbs of grapes!  I have to remember to make Aldi's a regular stop!

Total OOP: $10.40

Since I had to get some sausage, I ran into Hardings.  I was shocked to see prices at $3.99 - eek!  And then very happy to see the bulk pork sausage priced at $2.49/lb.  No Hardings stop is complete without checking the dairy markdowns!  Yay for $.50 cottage cheese and $1 milk.

I am dying to get to Meijer to try out a few deals but this week is crazy!!

My Aldi Trip: 6/7

Total OOP: $13.61

I don't shop at Aldi very often.  In fact, I can't even remember the last time I shopped there!  I remembered my quarter.  I remembered my bag.  I did not remember my cash and I have no idea what my debit card pin is........I managed to scrounge up $10.61 (and that's pretty good because I rarely have cash on me) and asked the cashier to put a few things back.  The lady behind me graciously offered to help.  She insisted.  While I was a bit embarrassed, it was nice to see someone offer without hesitation.  She didn' roll her eyes, she wasn't annoyed.  She did it to be kind to a complete stranger.  You better believe I will be paying it forward!
