There is a great picture of today's Rite Aid trip on my camera right now but........no camera cord! We have looked high and low for this cord and we're pretty convinced that it is gone for good. Just ordered one on Ebay and it should be here by Thursday. I'll have to add the picture then!!
For now, here are my transactions. Check out the matchups for coupon details......

All 3 Transactions Combined......
Total OOP: $2.40

My goal was to keep my out of pocket low and I managed to do that so I'm happy. I did forget about the $1.75 Similasan coupon which is a little bummer but I really can't complain about getting more money back then I spent!!

My Rite Aid Shopping Trip: 10/9
Total OOP: $2.55
Will get $5.99 SCR
Have $5.49 in Up Rewards remaining
As you can see from the picture, my trip didn't go according to plan but I was able to figure out a different scenario pretty easily. Not as profitable but that's because my only moneymaker - the Preparation H - wasn't stocked at this store yet, And I really didn't want to drive over to the larger store in my area to see if they had it. Here's what I did:
Transaction #1:
(4) Hand Sanitizer @ $1.00 each = 4.00
Chloraseptic @ $3.99
Cepacol @ $2.50
Blistex @ $1.49
Total: $11.98
Used $1/1 Chloraseptic coupon = 10.98
Used $10/1 Up Reward from last week's CoverGirl deal = $.98 + tax
Received (4) $1 Up, $3 Up, $2.50 Up, and $1.49 Up = $10.99 in Up Rewards
Transaction #2:
Zarbee's @ $5.99
Used $2.50 Up and $3 Up = $.49 + tax
Will Get $5.99 in SCR

Have you been to Rite Aid this week? How did you do?

My Rite Aid Trip: 10/2
Total OOP: $17.14
SCR: $7.59
$2 in Up Rewards remaining
Wow, do I miss those $5/$25 coupons!! This was.......far from my best shopping trips at Rite Aid. Not even close to my good shopping trips. I'm so used to spending just a few dollars out of pocket and getting lots and lots for it. But, we were down to just one deodorant, low on toothpaste, and I'm hoping the inserts will help with my new tennis shoes.
I'm still thinking about grabbing the CoverGirl deal. It would be great to have $10 in Up Rewards going into next week!
Have you been to Rite Aid this week? Please tell me you did better than I did!!

The Week in Review: My Shopping Adventures!
Since I often make a couple little trips throughout the week that I don't post, I thought I would start doing a Week in Review post on Saturdays so that you can see a complete picture of my shopping trips!
Meijer Shopping Trip #1:
Total: $13.32
*Strawberries: $2
*Broccoli: $1
*Bananas: $.59/lb - I think
*Blueberries: $1.67
*Peaches: $.99/lb
*Totino's Pizza Rolls: $6
Any guesses on who went shopping here? Hint....just under half of the total was for pizza rolls.
Meijer Shopping Trip #2 (pictured above):
Total OOP: $23.98
Savings: $19.15
I just LOVE cheap milk deals. Unfortunately I only had a couple of coupons this time.
Hardings Shopping Trip:
Total OOP: $4.25
*(3) eggs: $1.00 each
*gallon of milk: $1.25
Dollar Tree Shopping Trip
Total OOP: $2.06
*vanilla extract: $1.00
*bread loaf pan (doesn't count towards grocery budget)
After getting the zucchini from my sister-in-law, I realized I would be out of vanilla before I finished making zucchini bread so I called my husband and asked him to pick it up while he was out! Don't count out the dollar store in a pinch! They have just about everything!
Rite Aid Shopping Trip:
Total OOP: $.78
*(2) gallons of milk, $2.39 each with 20% discount
*candy bar, $.99
I had $5 in Up Rewards expiring today. Since I haven't been doing a lot of Rite Aid shopping lately and don't see any amazing deals in the future so I decided just to use them up. Hopefully the deals will pick up in the fall and I will start shopping there again!
So that was my week......nothing exciting, mostly staples. Looking forward to shopping next week though!

My Rite Aid Trip: 7/5
Total OOP: $2.89
SCR: $6.50
Received $5 in Up Rewards!!
The Good:
*Two gallons of milk for $2.89! Plus I'll be getting $6.50 back......that's a great deal on milk, especially with the price of milk going up!
*I haven't been doing a lot of Rite Aid shopping lately but it felt good to be back, working out how to make the most for my money. Not sure that I will be getting back into it full swing just yet but maybe a little more often!
The Bad:
*Nothing really. I was hoping for some Goldfish Grahams but I can't complain that that was the worst thing about my trip :)
Have you been shopping at Rite Aid lately?

Erin's Rite Aid Trip!!

Total OOP: $7.41
Any Up Rewards remaining?
Erin sent me a picture of her shopping trip to Rite Aid this week! She is a Rite Aid newbie and decided to get started on that toothpaste stockpile that I often mention! She's on her way to having her cupboard stocked with toothpaste for a year!
Thanks, Erin!!

My Rite Aid Trip: 6/21
Total OOP: $1.04
Received $10.97 in Up Rewards!!
As you can tell, I've been shopping a lot less at Rite Aid. Life has gotten quite a bit busier and we have a nice stockpile of toiletries so I just stop in every couple of weeks or so. Well, I had a $10 Up Reward expiring this week and we were playing at a park just down the road so we stopped in. This is a great example of buying things we don't need in order to get something we do need. Unless I find marked down milk at Hardings, I can't beat $1.04. Plus I ended up with more Up Rewards than I started with. The toothpaste will be donated and the Zantac will be given to a friend.
Have you been to Rite Aid yet this week? How did you do?

My Rite Aid Trip: 6/5
Total OOP: $3.85
SCR: $7.99
Received $2 Up (Dial) and $5 Up (Veet) = $7 in Up Rewards!
Wow! It felt GOOD to get back into Rite Aid shopping! It has been about two months since I really shopped there. Maybe even longer I would go for the occasional deal here and there but nothing well-planned until today. I haven't even wanted to go....until today!
Here are a few updates:
*Dial Hand Soap was priced at $2.29 at the Allegan store. On sale BOGO and received a $2 Up Reward so basically $.15 each after Up Reward. We were on our last bottle of hand soap in each bathroom so this was needed!!
*The lowest priced Veet that I found was $4.49. With my 20% discount, it came to $3.59. I didn't even think about the discount until I saw it on my receipt (see, out of practice) but, surprisingly, my coupons went through and I ended up with some overage. This probably won't be the case in most situations so you might want to find a more expensive Veet if you have the discount!
*The P&G Up promotion is tracking! My husband is very brand specific when it comes to his deodorant so I picked that up. I didn't get a chance to try to work out some more for the $10 Up so I crossed my fingers that it would be tracking!
Check out all of the Rite Aid matchups before you head to the store! And be sure to share your trip with us!!

My Rite Aid Trip: 5/12
Total: $1.92
Received $10 Up Reward!!
After reading that the Tylenol Precise was now working for the $10 Weekend Warrior Up promotion, I decided to run in and give it a try. And it did, indeed, work! I was hoping to get this shopping trip up last night but, unfortunately, Blogger (the site that hosts my blog) was not working! So, here it is now! I'm hoping you'll be able to get enough coupons rounded up to give this deal a try tomorrow!!
Buy 5 Tylenol Precise @ 5 each = $25
Use (5) $5/1 Tylenol Precise printables or from 5/8 SS
Total: FREE!!
Get $10 Up Reward!!
Final Cost: FREE + $10 Up Reward!!
My local store (Centre) had plenty of these last night but if your store is out, get a raincheck!! The Weekend Warrior Up promotion continues next week! Keep in mind that the coupon from the insert expires tomorrow so you'll have to get your hands on (5) printables to do this deal next week!!

Rite Aid: Duracell Batteries for $2.24 BEFORE Coupons!!
Wasn't it just yesterday that I mentioned that the deals at Rite Aid have been lacking? Well, if you haven't been there in awhile, this may be the week to go!! Especially if you are in need of batteries (and who doesn't need batteries, right?)! Duracell Coppertop AA and AAA 10 packs are ringing up at $2.24, originally priced at $8.99. These were not marked at my local store so you'll want to ask the cashier for a price check! Use the $1/1 Duracell coupon from the P&G Everyday Savings Booklet and you'll have an even better deal!!
Duracell Coppertop AA and AAA, 10pk
Sale: $2.24
MQ: $1/1 Duracell from Everyday Savings Booklet
Total: $1.24!!
**Look for a $1/1 Rite Aid peelie to get them for just $.24!!
Local Readers: I found these at the Centre St store. There were lots as of this afternoon. It sounds like people are finding this deal all over so there's a good chance you'll find it at the Cork St store as well!
(Thanks, Hip2Save!)

My Rite Aid Trip + Updates!
Total OOP: $2.29
Received $5 Up Reward
The Good:
*My store had plenty of Nivea Body Wash for many people do get their FREE Nivea Body Wash. More Body Wash for Men but I found it hiding in several places. If you haven't been yet, be sure to check endcaps and special displays! I've also heard a rumor that, although it states, limit one per household, people have been able to take advantage of this more than once! Not sure if this will last all week but it may be worth a try
The Bad:
*I didn't realize that there was a BOGO Air Wick Spray coupon in today's insert as well. Just finished clipping my coupons and found it. This is good news for the Cleaning Up Reward!
And here is what I will be donating from today's trip. Join us for Couponing for Community!!

My Rite Aid Trip: 4/10
Total OOP: $3.83
SCR: $7.99
$4.16 Moneymaker after SCR!!
Did anyone else have trouble with the Old Spice/Gillette Body Wash deal? My Up Rewards didn't print. It was no problem though. My cashier checked the ad, confirmed that I had purchased the right products, and gave me a gift card for $4. Not sure why it didn't print!
Anyone else have this problem? Was it with the Gillette or the Old Spice?
There are lots more deals at Rite Aid this week so check out the matchups before you go!!
Monday, April 4, 2011
My Rite Aid Trip: 4/3
Total OOP: $1.26
$2 Up Left to Spend
The Good:
*Everything I bought today were products we use!! That doesn't happen often.
*I did this in two transactions to get my out of pocket so low. Used a $10 gift of savings on the razor, deodorant, and body wash. And for my second transaction, I used the $5 Up from Gillette to get the milk for just $.32!
The Bad:
*All of the FREE after Rebate items were out. I wasn't able to go in the morning so I wasn't completely surprised. A little disappointed though.
*I was planning on getting some of the New York Style Bagel Chips but forgot the coupon! They are on sale this week for $1.50. Use the $1/1 coupon from the 2/27 SS.
Check out all of the latest deals and the rest of the matchups at Rite Aid this week!!

My Rite Aid Trip + Updates!!
Total OOP: $1.32
$9 in Up Rewards remaining!
This trip was a great example of buying things I don't need in order to get things for FREE later on! I had $8 in Up Rewards expiring this week but nothing on sale that we needed so I used my Up Rewards on items that would produce more Up Rewards. Plus, I can donate what we don't use!
It was also the first trip in a long time that I had to use a little strategy with. I was down to just $8 Up Rewards so I actually had to pull out the calculator to make sure my out of pocket was low!!
The Good:
*With my 20% Wellness Discount, the Revitalens was only $7.99! I used the $3/1 coupon from 3/6 insert and received a $5 Up Reward! It ended up being FREE after Up Reward!
*I have a few wedding showers this summer so I've been picking some things up to fill the laudry basket!! Can't beat FREE Air Wick!!
*Used a $3/$15 coupon from taking a survey! And earned another survey opportunity at the end of this receipt!!
The Bad:
*Out of ThermaCare Wraps. I was hoping to pick up one of those!!
Check out the matchups to see what's on sale at Rite Aid this week!!

My Rite Aid Trip + Updates!
Total OOP: $1.67
Earned $3 in Up Rewards
Yep, diapers! On Saturday night, as I was leaving work, a few co-workers let me know that we were having a diaper shower for a couple of coworkers this week. Of course, if I had known earlier, I would have taken advantage of the Huggies deal last week. Fortunately I had my $20 Up Reward from the Winter Rewards Promotion so I was able to make my own sale!
The Good:
*Lots of Freebies.......Nivea, Reach, TGI Fridays Snacks (no longer FREE)!!
*Cheap(er) milk! With prices going up on everything, it's nice to be able to get my milk for $2.07 with my wellness discount AND use Up Rewards to get a great deal!
*Shower gifts for (almost) FREE!! Even though I had to use my $20 Up Reward, it was nice to have that option so I didn't have to pay a lot more elsewhere!
*I received a survey code at the end of my receipt! Yay for another $3/$15 coupon!!
The Bad:
*The deals weren't very exciting this week. If I didn't need the diapers, I probably would have skipped Rite Aid this week!
Updates:
*Keep your eyes peeled for Rite Aid 80ct Dryer Sheets. People are reporting that they are ringing up at $.99 and producing a $1 Up Reward. It sounds like this is only the case at some stores. I stopped in at the smaller Rite Aid last night and they didn't have the 80ct so I wasn't able to confirm.
*The $2/$10 Rite Aid Beauty Video Values coupon is only good on certain products. It's a good thing we can get a $3/$15 for taking a survey or it would be a very sad thing!!
Headed to Rite Aid this week? Check out the deals before you leave!!

My Rookie Rite Aid Trip + Updates!!
Total OOP: 22.72
SCR: $5
Submit for $10 Loreal Youth Code MIR
$14 in Up Rewards remaining
Final Cost: $6.28 Moneymaker after Up Rewards!
Final Cost: $6.28 Moneymaker after Up Rewards!
Any guesses on why I called it my "Rookie" Rite Aid Trip? Look at that out of pocket! Ridiculous!
The Good:
*All in all it was a moneymaking trip so I will be happy about that. It's way too easy to dwell on the out of pocket but there really is no use. It was still a good trip! I got some things that we use and things that I can use for baby showers that are coming up.
*I earned my $20 Winter Rewards Up Reward!! Whoo-hoo! Can't wait to spend that one!
*I found the Right Guard $1/1 peelies! Yay!! I had to dig for them (with the help of Robin, thanks!) because the Right Guards with the peelies were on the back of the shelf. But we still found them!
The Bad:
*Wasn't prepared! Lately I've had so many Up Rewards to use that I didn't really have to think about my transactions. Just everything in one because I would be able to get it down with my Up Rewards. Well, I blew most of my Up Rewards on FREE after rebate items a few weeks ago. I should have broken this up into smaller transactions to bring my out of pocket down. Now I'm got $34 in Up Rewards to work with so I should be golden for awhile!
*My cashier was having a rough morning. She wasn't happy that I had already peeled off the peelies because "Rite Aid considers it fraud unless it is pulled off by the cashier." She asked me repeatedly if I had taken these off of another product and she tried to find the sticky residue on the bottle. Um, the sticky part is on my hand, notice how I'm holding them so they don't stick together? I hope her morning improved because it was still pretty early.
*No Spring Oreos at either of my stores. Anyone else have any luck?
Updates:
*Loreal Youth Code Kit Deal: Since I received the 20% off Wellness Discount, mine only came to $27.99 so I only got one $5 Up Reward. Still turns into a moneymaker after MIR, Up Reward, and SCR!!
*Sucrets - Look for boxes marked as "33% More." These are reportedly ringing up as $2.99 as well and are producing the Up Reward!
*Limits, limits, limits: Right Guard Body Wash has a limit of 2. Johnson and Johnson deal does not have a limit!
Be sure to check out the matchups for this week! If you are new to Rite Aid shopping or even coupon shopping, check out this simple scenarios to get you started!!

$24.43 Moneymaker + $15 in Up Rewards remaining!
With all of the great deals this week, I knew I needed to get to Rite Aid early! So I got up early and was there when they opened. And I wasn't the only one! There were quite a few savvy shoppers there! I did two transactions so that I could use some of the Up Rewards on the FREE after Rebate items!!
The Good:
*I made some money this week! Whoo-hoo! I was excited to see some FREE after Rebate deals this week!
*Some great grocery deals: Lays FREE after Up Reward, Jif for $.49 after Up Reward, Chex Mix for FREE after Up Reward and cheap pop!
*A wonderful husband that had the girls ready to head to church the moment I walked in the door!
The Bad:
*Forgot my $1/1 Dawn Hand Renewal coupon! I will probably head back that way before the week is out so hopefully they won't be out!!
