Odds and Ends: Twitter, Send in a Photo, Mega Swagbucks

Most people that use Swagbucks just stick to the basics - do some searching, tell a few friends, and occasionally do the daily Swagbucks. But there are many other ways to earn Swagbucks that you might be interested in learning about!

Tweet about Swagbucks: The Swag Guy occasionally rewards people for tweeting about Swagbucks so if you are going to tweet about it, be sure to add a hashtag - #swagbucks!  This is also another way to find Swagcodes!!

Mega Swagbucks Friday: Every Friday, Swagbucks gives out higher denominations of Swagbucks.  Instead of a 7 or a 10, you might get a 40 or a 50.  It won't happen every Friday or even most Fridays but every once in awhile so be sure to do some searching on Fridays!!

Send in a Picture of Your Prize:  When you get your prize in the mail, get a picture of yourself with the prize!  Send it to prizephoto@swagbucks.com.  If you order Amazon gift cards, you can take a picture with what you ordered from Amazon.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Swagbucks 101 series for more ways to earn!!  If you haven't signed up yet, head on over here to get started!!

Swagbucks 101: Odds and Ends of Earning

Most people that use Swagbucks just stick to the basics - do some searching, tell a few friends, and occasionally do the daily Swagbucks. But there are many other ways to earn Swagbucks that you might be interested in learning about!!

Swagbucks Surverys:  Believe it or not, the survey section is more than just one point for visiting the section.  They actually have surveys you can take to earn more Swagbucks.  What I really like about the surveys is that they tell you a percentage of how likely you will qualify for it.

Trade In:  Trade in your cell phones, MP3 Players, Books, Games & Consoles and earn Swagbucks!  Plus, Swagbucks offers FREE shipping!

Download the Toolbar:  Not only does it make searching easier, you can earn a Swagbuck each day just for having the toolbar.  Personally, I have downloaded the toolbar and use it for the majority of my searches - makes it so much easier.

Swagbucks 101: Odds and Ends of Earning

Most people that use Swagbucks just stick to the basics - do some searching, tell a few friends, and occasionally do the daily Swagbucks. But there are many other ways to earn Swagbucks that you might be interested in learning about!!

.

Special Offers: Take a look through the pages of "Special Offers" that Swagbucks has available.  Many of these offers you'll probably want to just skip past but there are some things that might be worth it to earn a few Swagbucks.  Offers include free trials, signing up for savings programs, watching videos, and much, much more.  Definitely worth a peek!

Swagbucks TV:  Watch a little Swagbucks TV and earn some Swagbucks. With over 7 unique content channels and thousands of clips, Swagbucks TV is your new home for fun, fresh video content on the web. Plus, you'll be periodically rewarded with Swag Bucks as you watch - earn multiple times per day, and multiple Swag Bucks at a time! But remember: earning Swag Bucks isn't about how many videos you start, it's about how many videos you finish!

Swagbucks Tasks: Tasks allow you to do research and answer questions while earning Swagbucks. The list is constantly updated, and you can complete the same task multiple times as long as it’s still listed on the main Tasks page.  When you go to the Tasks page, you will see a list of available tasks with a brief description of what they want you to do, and how many Swagbucks you’ll earn from doing it.

Clicking a task takes you to that task, where you’ll start in Training Mode. Training Mode is designed to get you comfortable with the job you’ll be doing, and ensure that you’re able to do it accurately. Accuracy is EXTREMELY important to these companies, and they’ll often tell you the accuracy level you’ll need to maintain in order to complete a Task and get credit.  Once you're done with training, you'll be able to complete the task!

Swagbucks 101: Odds and Ends of Earning

There are lots of little odds and ends of earning on Swagbucks

Earn Swagbucks by printing coupons.  Something you already do on a regular basis, right!  Coupons.com has paired up with Swagbucks.  Earn 10 Swag Bucks for every coupon you print and redeem at your local grocery store!  In order to earn credit for using these coupons, you will need to print them off of the Swagbucks site.  And it will take up to 12 weeks from the time you redeemed the coupon, to get credit.

Have you been taking advantage of all of the great Groupon deals lately?  Not only can you get a great Groupon, but also earn Swagbucks at the same time.  Most recently I purchased a Groupon for Binder Park Zoo and earned 160 Swagbucks!  In addition to Groupon, you can take advantage of daily deals from Eversave, Mertado, and Homerun.

Play games!  Yep, Swagbucks "pays" you to play games!  Head on over to the Games section, play for FREE, and earn some Swagbucks!

Swagbucks 101: Swag Codes

Now that you've signed up for Swagbucks and have learned about some simple ways to earn more each day, it's time to talk Swagcodes.

What is a Swagcode?
Swag Codes are strings of alphanumeric text that you can apply for instant Swag Bucks.
An example: aSWagBuckSbday2211

Where can I find a Swagcode?
Swag Codes can appear anywhere, and at any time, throughout the Swag Bucks network. Some places you may find Swagcodes: Swagbucks.com; the newsletter, the Swag Bucks blog, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter page, Flickr page; and other sites.

What do I do with a Swag Code once I've found it?
Swag Codes can be redeemed by entering the Codes into the Swag Codes box on your My Account page. Swag Codes are case sensitive - you must enter the Code exactly as you find it in order to snag the bonus Swag Bucks.

How long do Swag Codes last?
Swag Codes can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. In some cases, Swag Codes are limited not by time, but by the number of people that may redeem the Codes.

How often are Swag Codes made available?

Swag Codes tend to occur once a day, however there is NO GUARANTEE that Swag Codes will be introduced every day. There will be days in which no Swag Codes are available, and other days in which multiple Codes are awarded.

Can I share Swag Codes with others?
Nope!  You can give clues on how to find them but you are not supposed to give the exact code.

My Take on Swag Codes:
Swag Codes are hit or miss for me.  There will be a few days in a row that I earn them and then I'll go weeks and won't catch any.  And I don't tend to try for the codes that require me to figure it out by visiting multiple pages and looking through items in the Swag Store.  I just don't have the time.

Swagbucks 101: Daily Swagbuck Opportunities

At this point you've signed up for Swagbucks, you're using it as your search engine, and you've told a few friends, right?  Today I'm going to share a couple of ways to get some easy Swagbucks every day.  And it will take about a minute of your time!

1) Trusted Surveys:  All you have to do is visit the Swagbucks Trusted Surveys page and you'll earn 1 Swagbuck.  Doesn't seem like a lot but it does add up!!  To get to the Trusted Surveys section, just click on "Earn" at the top left hand side of the Swagbucks homepage.  Scroll down to "Trusted Surveys."  When you click on it, you will earn a Swagbuck!

2) Daily Polls: Just like it sounds!  Get a Swagbuck for answering the Daily Poll question.  To get to the Daily Poll, click on "Earn" and then "Daily Polls."

3) NOSO (No Obligation Special Offers): This one takes a little longer (not by much) so you get 2 Swagbucks.  You will have to skip through a few offers and then enter in a code to get your Swagbucks.
To get to the NOSO, click on "Earn" and then "NOSO."  You'll see a button that says "Start Earning Now."  Click on it and then skip the offers that are presented and enter your code!

You can earn 4 Swagbucks a day in about one minute.  Might not seem like a lot but it definitely adds up!

If you haven't signed up for Swagbucks yet and you are interested, I would appreciate if you used my referral link!  Thanks so much!!

Swagbucks 101: Tell Your Friends!!

Once you've discovered just how easy it is to earn with Swagbucks, you want to share it, right!  Tell your friends and family!  And when they sign up through your referral link, you earn too!!  For every friend you refer, you will earn Swagbucks for every Swagbuck your friends earn through searching, up to 1000 Swagbucks!

Here are a few tips on how to get more referrals:
**Talk it up: When you talk to your friends or email your friends, be sure to tell them what you've been earning! For doing very little!!  I found that people didn't really pay attention until I started telling them about the Amazon gift cards I had earned and what I've been able to buy with it!

**Connect to Facebook: Whenever you get a Swagbuck or request a reward, it will post on your Facebook page.   When people see all of the gift cards you are earning, they become interested!!  When they click on the Facebook post and sign up, you'll be credited with the referral!

**Post a link on your blog: Even your family blog. Why not?!?

Not sure how to connect to Facebook?  Follow these steps:

Click on the "Facebook Connect" button at the top right side of the Swagbucks homepage.
A screen will pop up and you will need to click on "Access my Information" and you'll be connected.
Once you are connected, you can click on the "Facebook Connect Settings" button and modify your settings.

Pretty simple!!

Swagbucks 101: Searching.....

Did you sign up for Swagbucks recently?  Or maybe you signed up awhile ago but you haven't really started using it?  The easiest way to get started is just by searching!  Use Swagbucks just like your favorite search engine (Google, Yahoo, etc)  Here are a few tips:

*Use Swagbucks as your primary search engine!   Just to warn you, it isn't as good as Google or Yahoo.  Usually the top two or three are ads (these ads help pay for our rewards) but the site that I'm looking for is almost always the third or fourth on the list.  A small price to pay for the Amazon gift cards!!  I know, loyal Google users, it's tough!

*Search for every site you visit!  Heading to Spectacular Savings (wink, wink).....search for it!  Want to check your email.....search for it!  I use Swagbucks for every site that I visit (even my own)!

*Add Swagbucks as your homepage!  If you are just getting started, sometimes it's hard to remember to use Swagbucks.  If you make it your homepage, you don't have to remember!

*Download the Toolbar!  I downloaded the toolbar and love it!  It makes searching that much easier.  But it isn't a must.  I know that many people prefer not to have an extra download!

*DO NOT do random searches!  This will get you removed from Swagbucks and that would be very sad!  Don't just do search after search without clicking on a link.  No "unnatural searching."

If you are interested in signing up, head on over here!!

Loyal Swagbuckers, any additional tips on using Swagbucks as a search engine?

Swagbucks 101: Why Swagbucks?

When I first explain what Swagbucks is to someone, they all seem to be thinking the same thing........
This sounds like a gimmick.  It probably takes forever to earn anything.  Not worth my time.

In fact, these were my thoughts when I was first introduced to Swagbucks!  It wasn't until I started seeing what people were earning that I decided to give it a try!

So, why Swagbucks?
*It's easy:  You don't have to open emails or answer surveys.  There are no hoops to jump through.  It is a search engine, very similar to Google (not as good but good enough).  When you use it to do searches, you are randomly awarded Swagbucks (or points).  You're getting rewarded for something you do already!  I use it to search for sites that I visit regularly.....Facebook, Gmail, Spectacular Savings

*It offers great rewards:  The best deal is the $5 Amazon gift card.  It costs 450 Swagbucks and takes about two weeks to earn by doing the very minimum (searching daily).  I've used the Amazon gift cards I've earned to buy a carseat for Cailynn, diapers for both girls, Christmas and birthday presents, and groceries!!

InterestedGo here to sign up!!  Already signed up?  Start using it!  And stay tuned for more about Swagbucks and how to maximize your earnings in the Swagbucks 101 series!!

For those of you that use Swagbucks regularly, please share your thoughts on Swagbucks!!
